The Ivory Center
in Chișinău

Ivory Center is an educational initiative in Chișinău, supported by the Clark & Christine Ivory Foundation and the University of Utah. It offers practical training in English, career development, and entrepreneurship for Moldovans who want to build a stronger future at home.

UMBP and Ivory Center share the same roots. Both grew from Clark Ivory’s commitment to Moldova’s economic development. Each summer, our intern team works from the Ivory Center, connecting American students with local businesses while the center supports education and opportunity in the community.

The Utah Moldova Business Partnership was founded in 2015 by Clark Ivory & Walter Plumb III. They saw enormous potential in the Republic of Moldova for economic development, if entrepreneurs were given the right resources, ideas, and connections.

Each year we sponsor a small team of interns in Chișinău to proactively find and support Moldovan businesses ready for the next step. In 2018 the partnership expanded to include Code to Success programming courses, and the program has grown in size and impact every year since.
